About
Welcome to Rancho's Taqueria, a hidden gem nestled in Dickinson, Texas, where vibrant flavors and generous portions reign supreme. Located at 3300 Gulf Fwy, this culinary haven beckons taco lovers and burrito aficionados alike with a promise of authentic taste and quality that never disappoints.
Upon entering Rancho's Taqueria, you are greeted by an inviting atmosphere that prioritizes the food experience. The walls buzz with the chatter of satisfied customers as enticing aromas waft through the air, making it difficult to contain your excitement. First things first—we must talk about their chips and salsa. Unlike the greasy varieties found elsewhere, the thicker chips here hold up perfectly against the spicy green salsa, delivering a kick that is both invigorating and deliciously satisfying. As one customer passionately noted, “It’s HOT. It burns, but burns so clean.”
The true stars of the menu, however, are the dishes that leave you craving more. The #6 green chicken enchiladas, incorporating perfectly cooked fajita chicken, present a symphony of flavors. The fresh green chile sauce elegantly coats the enchiladas, and pairings like sour cream and rice make every bite an indulgent experience. Another highlight is their breakfast offerings, particularly the breakfast burritos, which have quickly become a local favorite. As Oscar Mendoza raves, the homemade tortillas truly elevate the experience, making them irresistible even for the heartiest of appetites.
Whether you opt for the stunning breakfast tacos or the oversized burrito—both of which have gathered rave reviews for their size and flavor—you are guaranteed to leave Rancho's with a full belly and a satisfied palate. The fast service and attentive staff only add to the overall positive dining experience, allowing you to enjoy your meal without unnecessary delays.
Although Rancho's Taqueria maintains a casual vibe, it expertly prioritizes the quality of its food above all else. Customers consistently remark on the fresh and fast-casual nature of the dining experience. As Barry Nolan puts it succinctly, “Good food, good people.” It's a spot that caters to those who seek comfort in traditional Mexican meals, without the fuss of a fine dining atmosphere.
No matter what dish you choose, Rancho's Taqueria promises a memorable experience filled with flavor, warmth, and homely charm. Don't just take our word for it; immerse yourself in this delightful culinary adventure and discover why everyone is raving about this exceptional taqueria.
“ I can still taste this picture. The #6 green chicken enchiladas (with fajita chicken) was a sensory treat for my tongue. The fajita chicken was cooked perfectly and sliced thin and long, just enough for me to double it over and dip it into the green sauce. The green Chile sauce tasted fresh, and for some reason the sour cream tastes incredible when served with any dish in this restaurant. Mixing the rice into the overflow sauce was deeeee-licious! (The fork is for scale- this plate is HUGE.) Now let me talk about the chips and salsa they serve you first. Some places serve greasy chips I don’t want to eat but this place has thicker chips that are not at all greasy. The chip grips the green salsa (in the white bottle) and delivers it to my mouth for a spice experience unparalleled by other green sauces. It’s HOT. It burns, but burns so clean. I don’t know what’s in the red bottle but it’s an orange sauce I tasted once and didn’t taste again. Can’t speak for that experience. I’m not a fan of the salsa in the bowl but the taste is fresh. Not pictured: Tamarindo, Jamaica, horchata drinks I’ve had there. Yum yum. It’s clean but quiet enough for me to sit and enjoy watching a show with AirPods without the sound having to be turned up super loud. The wait staff is few but very attentive, checking in me multiple times during the meal. Overall, go and enjoy something on the menu. Everything I’ve had is good. Updated 6/10/25 I forgot to take pictures once, but I did take a pic of the giant torta I was served for 8! It was delicious! (Plastic spoon for scale) The bread was soft and fluffy, and the chicken is delicious all the time. I don’t know what they do to the chicken breast but it is delicious! I rate this place 6 stars! Pictures updated continuously as I eat here. Sometimes I don’t take pictures because the delicious smells of my arriving food erase that task from my memory. ”
“ This is my go to spot for breakfast burritos. Never had issues here. I typically order a egg, bacon, potato, cheese and beans. The home made tortillas are delicious. Fyi the burritos are large. ”
“ Awesome breakfast tacos. My favorite is the beans and cheese. The ground meat taco is also good. I have ordered the burrito and those are humongous! Service is fast and pleasant. I have only ordered drive through. One of my top 3 taco places that I have visited. ”
“ Good food, good people. Fast service, near highway, good for a quick eat. ”
“ Dam, this is good. I wasn't expecting this but when the chips and salsa came out I'd an idea it was going to be more than I expected. Clean, not oily, great quality, great price. Let's be honest here, it's not 'date night' atmosphere but they focus on the food which is great. ”
“ We had seen this place on I45 at FM 517 for a couple of years but never tried it. Today was the day! Looking for some tacos for a light lunch. They did not disappoint! Ended up ordering off the a la carte menu. Decided on barbacoa taco and pastor taco and beef fajita torta! Delicious, everything was very flavorful, hot and delicious. The chips came to the table with a green sauce, red sauce and a flavorful but watery "salsa". Will definitely go back and try other things on the menu. ”
“ Delicious and authentic. The lengua tacos were filled with flavor and tender. The cactus was spicy. Lots of seasoning. Our server was polite and quick. ”
“ Hidden Gem with Incredible Food! Don't let the simple exterior fool you—this place is a true hidden gem! I’ve only ordered through the drive-through, but every time, the food has been nothing short of amazing. Their flautas, tacos, and chicken fajita quesadilla are packed with flavor, and the hand-made tortillas make all the difference. The red salsa has just the right kick, and their aguas frescas are the perfect refreshment. I live in the area and have become a regular because the quality is consistently great. If you're looking for authentic, delicious food, you won’t regret stopping by! ”
